We’ve Got Merch! And a Fundraising Update

Yes it’s true. We’ve got merch! 🎉
Head on over to our new store and order a t-shirt or a mug or a sticker…or all of the above! Toss in some extras for your dev friends too. ☺️
We’d love to hear your feedback what products (or colors/variants) you’d like to see us add to the store. There are many options available from our printing provider, so don’t be shy in voicing your preferences.

And now a word about our fundraising efforts earlier in the year.
Unfortunately, we hit a wall. We got to roughly 12% of our $400/month goal, and then…nothing.
But as I often say, you’ll never get what you don’t ask for. So we’re back with a slightly more modest $300/month goal, and once again we’re asking you to sponsor Bridgetown. It’s the only hybrid progressive site generator in the Ruby ecosystem (aka you can build static sites & dynamic server-rendered pages via a unified system) and compares favorably with many web frameworks in other languages. It powers websites for Sidekiq, RuboCop, Lookbook, and other tools in the Ruby ecosystem. And we’re serious about protecting our community and our ethical stance by continued support for handcrafted coding enthusiasts (and blocking LLM-generated contributions).
Obviously our merch store will help support the Bridgetown project too, though we don’t credit sales margin towards our sponsorship goal.
